Synopsis

Dalton Chance, seventeen years old and an open book. Pace Creagan, eighteen, brimful of adventure, fearless and feared. To Dalton, she's irresistible. To Pace, he's a challenge. The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek is a beautiful and haunting tale. A coming-of-age story with a wicked twist, it reaches into the depths of a nation and asks what lies beneath. The story, which unfolds largely in flashback, opens with Dalton Chance - a local boy who once dreamed of going to college - making shadow puppets against the walls of a prison cell. Dalton is a suspected of killing his friend, Pace Creagan, a rebellious girl who challenged him to run across the trestle.
